In today’s job market many companies, with different sizes of operations, are experiencing a shortages of skilled technicians. This presentation will discuss what facilities and maintenance managers can do in the short- and long-term to maintain an effective maintenance and asset management operation. Solutions described will include collaboration with local automation companies, working with OEMs for better support, training programs for maintenance teams and new hires, collaborating with local colleges to provide better training, supporting intern programs, and reviewing pay rates.
